PULL TAB (POP TOP) CROCHET
WEARABLE ART
Crochet with pop tops is a very popular craft in my home country, Brazil. I think that most pull tab crochet products you may see online are "pasteurized" and mass-produced. They strive for perfection, while I do it for the pure enjoyment of creating something with my own two hands (wish I had a third one...). I think of it as wearable art and minor imperfections are part of the charm.
Upcycled crochet items using aluminum pull tabs from soda and beer cans
See what it's all about
All the items I make are crocheted or knit using recycled, post-consumer, clean, aluminum soda can pull tabs, or pop tops. Check what pull tab crochet is all about.
I have started using "plarn", a "yarn" made from recycled plastic bags cut into strips. The results are very interesting
